It ’s almost impossible to say how deeply I am devoted to the films of Elia Kazan as Martin Scorsese brings his “A Letter to Elijah”. The movie is simple but If you like to watch free movies online or if you love Scorsese’s movies don’t miss this one. Both sons of immigrants – the same Kazan moved to the U.S. only a few months after being born in 1909 in Kayserim in Tuchia Greek – the two filmmakers lived, albeit in different ways, the same beginning as an outsider before becoming, in their own way the legends of cinema. In thissixty minutes story, Scorsese does not trace a biography of Kazan, but prefer to collect his life filtered through the emotions that his movies had on his training as a director. Scorsese knew Kazan the first time when, in the mid 60s, he attended a lecture about his films at an University in New York. Scorsese pursued him and asked Kazan to be his assistant director, but Martin came too late to the appointment. “Perhaps it was better that way – said Scorsese – would have been difficult to work with someone to whom I constantly asked for advice and explanations.”
